Channel and Westward joined the Friday night transmission feed a week late, and picked up the series by simply omitting All the Black Dresses She Wants at this time. That episode was finally screened at the end of the run, moved to a Wednesday evening in order to free up the Friday 8pm slot for ABC’s new series, Intrigue.

Viewers in Wales were the last to see Marker’s Midlands cases. The Welsh broadcasters began with the first couple of episodes, showing Marker relocating to Birmingham and setting up in his new office, after which the stations took the newest available weekly episodes. TWW would later double back on what it had missed, eventually promoting Public Eye to the stronger slot of 8pm on Wednesdays, but Teledu Cymru dropped the series after Twenty Pounds of Heart and Muscle.
* Not transmitted by Teledu Cymru, which instead showed Dan Law’r Meddyg (Under the Doctor’s Hands), one of a series of Welsh programmes about preventive medicine, followed at 11.10pm by the half-hour American Western series The Deputy.
** Not transmitted by Teledu Cymru, which instead showed the American crime drama Honey West, followed at 8.25pm by Clwb y Llenor (The Poets’ Club), a Welsh-language literary magazine programme.
*** Not transmitted by Teledu Cymru, which instead showed a one-off short documentary, To Catch a Fish, followed at 8.25pm by the antiques programme Pethau Hen a Hen Bethau.
**** Not transmitted by Teledu Cymru, which instead showed a one-off short documentary, The Twentieth Century, followed at 8.25pm by Pethau Hen a Hen Bethau.
